Marie's Masters Watercolour Sample – Artist Series 24 Colours x 0.5ml
The excellence of the Marie's Masters line.
Marie's Masters series is world-renowned for offering professional-grade pigments with rich consistency and exceptional transparency. Developed to allow for smooth layering, clean blending, and a fluid painting experience.
The samples are made from original brand watercolour tubes
Why choose Marie's Masters?
- High-Quality Pigmentation: Intense and luminous colours with excellent lightfastness, ensuring your work retains its original brilliance over the years.
- Superior Blending Capability: Thanks to the purity of their pigments, colours blend without becoming "muddy," allowing you to create an infinite range of custom shades.
- Extra Fine Texture: The fine grinding of the pigment results in a paint that dissolves quickly in water and spreads evenly across the paper.
- Versatility: Perfect for wet-on-wet techniques, glazes, and intricate details.
Sample Available in 24 Colours

Lightfastness based on Marie's 4-star rating system.
★★★★ Excellent/maximum lightfastness. The vast majority of colours in this professional range have this rating (about 75% of the colours in the catalogue)
★★★☆ Very good/moderate lightfastness.
Notes:
Hues: Many of these colours are "hues" (indicated in the name or by the use of multiple modern pigments such as PY154 or PR255). This means they replicate classic colours using more accessible or lightfast modern pigments.
Opacity: Pay attention to colours containing PW6 (White), such as Sky Blue (447) and Cobalt Blue (453), as they will be more opaque and may appear "chalky" (whitish) in very dense layers.
Tinting Strength: Prussian Blue (445) and Phthalo Green (558) have high tinting strength; use them sparingly to prevent them from dominating your mixtures.
